Hey, I'm Curtis. I'm an English 20 year old student working by the Italo-Austrian border as a language assistant on my year abroad. Welcome to my blog. Here you will find fluffy creatures, pumpkin art, pokémon, Summer Heights High, feminism and gender issues, men dressed in shirts, ties and suits, furry and scruffy fellas, Gilmore Girls, countryside, Teen Wolf (despite me never having watched it), Gravity Falls, cats! being silly, dogs looking happy, political comment, the occasional infographic, languagey stuff, Parks and Recreation, strong women and generally people who are confident and proud of who they are, the odd camera whoreish moment, CAKE, crazy visual mindfucks, owls, (both physically and romantically) cute couples, cute kids, butt, ridiculous absurdity, beautiful nature, mocking gifs and photosets, a little RuPaul's Drag Race, amusing captions, and clever comics, plus a shitload more. All that was found only in about a fortnight's worth of posts, so imagine what more treasures there are to be found! No, but seriously. this world is fascinating and my blog is a little collection of what I find particularly pleasing and or thought-provoking, generally. This is JASON FYLES and he goes to my university (Newcastle University, North East of England) He is 19 years old, 5’8, ginger hair and slim. He was last seen in the Sandyford area at 2:45am on Thursday morning and has not been seen since. He was wearing a blue shirt, grey cardigan, beige chinos and brown ankle boots. Everyone in uni is so worried about him along with his family and friends. We are coming together as a university to appeal for his safe return. It is thought that he lost his friends on the night out and tried to make his way back by himself. Please, I am begging for you to REBLOG THIS, even if you don’t live in Newcastle, or England. Every REBLOG means that someone else will see his face, they will know who we are looking for, and your followers could be the one to know his whereabouts. Stay safe Jason, we’re looking for you.
THIS WILL NOT RUIN YOUR BLOG!PLEASE. Nobody reblogged my own post on this which I posted an hour or so ago so I’m wondering if nobody will now. This guy is my friend. If I have ever sent you a nice ask or reblogged something of yours and it made you happy for a second (or even if I haven’t; this is about helping him, not doing me a favour) for God’s sake just help now, help to find my friend Jason. You want me to make him human to you?
- Once we all grew beans in pots as part of a Biology experiment- the experiment failed miserably and made the whole lab stink, but his was the only bean that grew and he was actually pretty proud about it
- He learned to knit as part of a school project where he had to learn a creative skill, and when a couple of people teased him about it he said “gender is a social construct” and carried on knitting like a badass
- He loves the scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby throws all his silk shirts around and he and I used to giggle over it together
- Once I asked him if he had a string of tinsel I could use in a photoshoot and he brought me a big cardboard box full of tinsel and fairy lights because he’s a helpful and lovely guy
He’s HUMAN and he needs our HELP and just PLEASE PLEASE FUCKING REBLOG THIS??? He’s been missing for four days now- when he went missing he would have been wearing his contact lenses and he won’t have had his (very thick) glasses with him so by now he’ll have had to take his contacts out and throw them away and he won’t be able to see well and oh God just please signal boost this

okay so in bio we got this case study/screenplay about the ethics of bananas
and apparently u.s. sellers only grew these kind called Gros Michel
but then this disease pretty much decimated all of the plants
so then they introduced the Cavendish banana, which is the kind you buy today
but apparently it’s way worse than the Michel, which was sweeter and stuff
obviously i wanna try one of these unattainable, delicious bananas
so i found this site all about bananas
and it’s basically this huge banana forum where you can buy and sell bananas, talk about bananas, post pictures of your bananas, etc.
but then i exceeded the limit of posts you could view without registering
and that’s why i’m a member of Bananas.org

Zeus & Hera, Aphrodite & Hephaestus and Hades, please.
Zeus: SO MUCH. Quick example though, here’s one thing: I’d like to see more women in power. I find it insane how few women are in key positions worldwide, particularly in my home country. The number of women in politics is absurd; out of 650 less than 150 are female. And I just think it would change the world so much, bring in so many different perspectives; we’re paying so little attention to half our population; their ideas could change (and have changed) the world!
Hera: I’m very much open to getting married or having wee uns, but I think it’s very much tied in to the relationship I’m in. As an individual I currently have no strong feelings about marriage; I think it’s a nice romantic thing to do, plus obviously there’s the whole massive party and gift things (that’s what I’m imagining about mine anyway) and there are tax/inheritance reasons, but honestly, I could take it or leave it. As to children, I think I’d like to have children in my life at an older age, but as I only have one brother and am not close to cousins I might have to get some myself! It’s a distinct possibility, but not one in the near future. However, my aunt and uncle never had kids, are very happy and I like the sound of living their life, plus getting the benefit of nieces and nephews.
Aphrodite: Passionate, mysterious and kind. Those are my top three. I want someone with different experiences but shared interests, who’s willing to argue with me but listen to me too, who is kind but doesn’t let himself be pushed over.
Hephaestus: If I could immediately learn any skill it would be to focus my mind for long periods of time. My mind wanders so much. I can never just sit down and write an essay; it is a lengthy drawn out process with me, and basically achieving any large thing in my life requires a lot of time for me: work interspersed with rest, and enjoyment to counteract my work, and socialising… I wish I could just sit down, write for eight hours and get something done.
Hades: The first person who springs to mind is Margaret Thatcher, ideally when she was partway through her time in office. As the UK’s first, and to this date only, female Prime Minister, I admire her in that I appreciate getting to that position at that time must have been incredibly taxing and required a lot of hard work and dedication. To be a woman running one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world is an astounding thing. I both have a lot of admiration for, and a lot of problems with, what she did. She’s the most divisive figure I know in modern British history, and I’d like to get to know how she became the person she was.

This job application is incredibly in depth, and asks me to know information which I cannot find written anywhere. I assume it’s just an old application form but my goodness, I actually really hope they at least appreciate my valiant attempts because it is a darned confusing thing.
